Harmonia singers continue the development of good singing practices begun in Primo Coro. Students sing music in three parts and learn skills to expand their vocal ranges and musical understanding. They sing music containing complex rhythms and independent vocal lines.  

 

We build on these skills as our former Primo Coro singers are welcomed into and become a part of Harmonia, an advanced ensemble for singers in sixth grade through the end of of high school who possess a more mature tone and excellent intonation, show music reading and fundamental sight-singing skills, and have at least a beginning knowledge of music theory.

Harmonia singers can maintain focus in a

weekly 70-minute rehearsal, and are able to

sing independently in three parts. They will have a chance to participate in several performances over the course of the 2024-2025 season.
